The tool runs a fast binary search algorithm, adjusting image quality and optionally dimensions until the output file size lands within ±5% of your target KB.

ImageReduce supports 50+ image formats including JPG, PNG, WebP, AVIF, HEIC, GIF, BMP, TIFF, RAW camera formats (Canon CR2/CR3, Nikon NEF, Sony ARW and more), vector formats (SVG, PDF, EPS), layered files (PSD, XCF, KRA), animated images (APNG, GIF), and medical/scientific formats (DICOM, FITS).
